Understood iFair not from the 70’s but rather about the 70’s. Indeed and I can certainly relate, like they say if you can remember the 70’s, then you probably weren’t there.

This fellow (we will call him “Alex” which is not his real name) who allegedly knew “Skunk” Baxter was an outstanding storyboard comp artist, but strictly top-dollar freelance, he would be brought in by the bigwigs upstairs, under the cover of darkness to rendered the hot dog creative directors “visions”. He worked like elf all night, and be gone before we all got in on Saturday morning. We would pop into the CD’s office for a peek at his handy work and marvel in slack jawed amazement, he was a real ace! Of course the know-it-all CD never really knew what had until he was gone. Feed up with the game, “Alex” (not his real name) retired in his early 40’s. The last I heard he was building $10,000 doll houses for blue-hairs up in Monterey!

Not sure if this helps your naming cause, but I had a friend back in the good-old-days of the ad biz who who allegedly knew Jeff “Skunk” Baxter the guitarist for the psychedelic rock band Ultimate Spinach, Donna Summer, the Blues Brothers 2000 movie and oh I don’t know let me thinkkkkk… yes now I remember, a little outfit called The Doobie Brothers! Just saying.

Thanks Snark, Franny and Quark for all of your great work. I love StuntDouble. I am considering StuntDoubleKnit as a fabric option/name. Is that considered “gilding the lily”as the immortal bard once said, in the naming business? If so I am busted.

BTW: The aggressive and reckless driving (particularly driving over someones freshly washed and waxed car) featured in the clip from the “The Mechanic” is no longer condoned by the motorcycle community or for that matter any self respecting motorcyclist enthusiast (at least not round these parts). Perhaps a bit off topic, but worth mentioning.

Thanks Shark! For the quick and very through “freelancing” work, YeeHaw! some of those are pretty far out there though. Impressive! Do you think “GSNSFW or GOLDEN SMOG NOT SO FORMAL WEAR, or in the French – GOLDEN SMOG PORTENT PAS SI FORMEL – might have a chance? I could always fall back on either OFF-ROAD RASH or TEMESCAL WASH but that would mean I would need to offer a “prewash” set and with it an Excedrin headache worth of extra labor considerations involved. OUCH!  This naming is a tough nut to crack!

BTW: I am willing to trade tagline work for some “extra hands” working on this name for my Jogging Suit line.
