Michael Davey; Independent trader; Berkeley, CA. Launched with Snark in 1998, Wordlab has been an ongoing side-gig, the origins of which go back to ancient (high school) times. Unfortunately, we had to trash our 20k subscriber list (in 2010) in order to get away from last century’s technology, but that was preferable ultimately to throwing the bus over the side and into the river (credit Snark for saving the bus). Anyhow, new blood here now and whether or not it’s really true, we can make the claim to be the largest free naming and branding source at your fingertips. There are other pros here, giving away their passion. Some may be holding back, at least in places, but we can’t promise the world for free. This is why we need new naming talent (you, for instance) to make this brain-trust click – your creative input is needed! There are infinite naming/branding needs out there, by small companies and start-ups who do not have the budget to pay Snark and others here for real work Fortunately, a social think-tank, combined with a user’s own energy, gets the job done quite often. We don’t make money here. Personally, I prefer this to doing crossword puzzles or something like that. I myself might post here irregularly, but (clients of mine be assured) that is due to my day(and night!)-job of trading markets. That’s it – go be creative!
