A. You can find external eSATA hard drives from a variety of manufacturers, but I recommend an external drive designed specifically for DVR use. For example, there’s Iomega’s 1TB eSATA DVR Expander ($125 spyware database online). Western Digital has the 1TB My DVR Expander ($119 online). Drives designed for DVRs do cost more. But they should be easier to set up. Verify a product with your cable company before purchasing. Check your manual for formatting directions. Or, ask your cable company for help.
