Event Names: 1 year, 6 months agoLooking for a name and tagline for a symposium on native plant landscaping to be held in the San Francisco Bay Area in February 2011. Organized by the Santa Clara Valley Chapter of the California Native Plant Society. The chapter has a subgroup called Gardening With Natives. It organizes an annual tour called Going Native Garden Tour. If you are new to native plants, they are not only beautiful but also low maintenance, rich in habitat value, and water-wise, good for the environment, and save money, water, and labor. California is one of the world’s hotspots of biodiversity and has over 5000 species/subspecies of native plants, offering gardeners a dizzying array of choices. Any help/suggestions welcome. Here are a few we came up with:
NATIVE PLANT GARDENING SYMPOSIUM
The California Garden:
Native plants for beauty, habitat, and ease of careLandscaping for the New Millenium:
California native plants for every gardenLandscaping in a Land of Biodiversity:
Sustainable landscaping using California native plantsLife After Lawn:
Native plant alternatives for today’s gardens
Arvid, I remember you – we talked re: the San Diego chapter and our brochures. We have been moving along on those! We have about 9 one-page info sheets. Sounds like we are on parallel missions!
Small world.
I would also think you would want titles that create a sense of freshness and newness:
New Ideas in Native Landscaping
Fresh Perspectives on Natives for the Garden
The New Native Plant Palette.
Hello Susan, and thanks for the suggestions!
