Referring to other members: when you call-out another member in a post, put the “@” symbol directly in front of their user name, and it will automatically link to that user’s profile, add a link to your referring post to the “@ mentions” tab in that user’s profile. For example, here I will mention @quark and @igor — to inform them of this instructive and enlightening post.

IMPORTANT: you can’t have any other characters, like a comma, touching the @ username (and no space between either), or, while it may be linked to the profile correctly, it won’t show up in that user’s profile “@ mentions” tab.
