My freelance business is called “Shinaar Design” and underneath the name I have “Boutique art studio” because I do both graphic design and fine art. However I need a tagline or catch phrase that promotes the graphic design side of things because that’s where the business really is. As I have the word “Design” in the name I cant have the word again the tagline. I do think that I should have the word graphic/graphics/graphically in the tagline.
I was thinking something like :
Gets your message across – Graphically! But it’s not snappy enough.
    Any suggestions very much appreciated

    Walk the line.
    Graphic reality.
    Bring it to life.
    Beautiful visions.
    Visualize the difference.
Visual communications that shine. (plays off “Shinaar”)

Thanks Snark – nice tags but I think there needs to be a more definite message that we’re talking about graphic design though – the name Shinaar Design could be designs for anything, and the line “Boutique Art Studio” can also have different meanings.

hmmm…so why not just replace ‘Boutique art studio’ with ‘Boutique art and graphic design’?

From where I’m standing, that is already your strap line. If you think you need to add yet another line before people understand what it is you do, then I think the name/descriptor combination may already be fatally flawed.

Incidentally, what do you think you are conveying by the use of the word ’boutique’? I’m just interested in why you chose it.

Good comments. The “Boutique art studio” was to convey that’s its not a large advertising company with a whole team of graphic designers, but rather a small personal studio with one artist doing the art and graphic design.

Like you have Boutique Hotels, they’re very different from chain hotels where all the rooms are with the same furnishings etc. A boutique hotel is a personal little hotel with an individual character, usually but not always family run.

However… now I think it might be better to promote the graphic design side of what I do for business needs, so I thought either I would do away with the Boutique line and/or add a catch phrase in my promotional work that will stick and become a sort of slogan.
