Hello all. I run a very small computer repair shop, and am in desperate need of a tagline.

1. We are moving to what’s called Managed Services. We will provide our clients with Anti-virus, Data Backup, Remote Support, Monitoring and new systems every three years. This is a big difference from our competitors and we’d like to highlight it. I was thinking along the lines of something which highlights our total service approach.

2. We are of course honest, affordable, and fast, but who would ever say otherwise?

Anyways, I’ve been beating myself up for the past few weeks. I called a few “pros,” but I was just quoted $900 for a tagline. It’s important, but we are just getting started and are very small. There’s no way for us to cough up that amount of cash.

I was thinking about something that really emphasized our total approach however.

I appreciate that while this may be true, it is not constructive; let me think about it and I’ll try to come up with some alternatives.

Any suggestions on spicing it up?

Seems to me that while most computer support is reactive, you guys try to anticipate and put things in place to either prevent or intercept problems – as well as keeping your customers up to date as things move on. This sounds like a more interesting promise.

Eh, your’s still sounds better. But this is an excellent track down which to move.

I haven’t quite got the line, but it’s something like:

Anticipate. Intercept. Restore.

Prediction is Prevention.

Monitor. Predict. Prevent.

I think Anticipate, Intercept, Restore might work better as the three headings under which you explain your approach: for example,

Anticipate – by discussing your needs we aim to provide systems that cope with both your existing needs and challenges and those that you will face over the next three years.

Intercept – our comprehensive understanding of the threats to system security enable us to provide you with the very best protection available. After all, prevention is better than cure.

Restore – if the worst happens, our back-up systems will have you back online fast.

Add to this our monitoring service and our ability to update your systems as they need it, and you have one very different computer support company.

I completely agree. I think a three-fold approach is a good one, and this would make a very nice brochure. We could attack it from two angles, the one you’ve mentioned which details what we can do – vs. what I said above which shows how we do it. Either way could be effective – and they are both good places to begin and / or end up.

For the main tag though, what about

‘A New Approach to PC Support.’ or
‘A Fresh Approach to PC Support.’ ?
