The name is Zuzutopia. I’ll be making collars for pets with a focus on dogs. Right now the collars are made from unique ribbons on webbing but I’ll be adding fabric later on.

Some words that might describe my collars would be unique, strong, price, (inexpensive?) fun, beautiful, chic, trendy, utopia.

If that’s not enough info please let me know.

    Thanks for all the help!

    Zuzutopia:
    - Affordable dog(pet) collars with a personal touch.
    - Collar ID
    - It’s a Dog’s Life
    - Now That’s a Collar!

    - If your dog doesn’t like his collar, neither should you.

    Fabulous collars for fabulous dogs

(could substitute ‘pets’,or ‘friends’ for dogs)

Thank you very much, Quark & Chris! I like them all for different reasons and haven’t been able to decide. I’m leaning towards “Now That’s a Collar!”
I want something that will catch people’s attention & that they will remember although I do want them to have the info that’s in Quark’s first tagline. I guess I can put that info in the “about me” or somewhere else.

Still thinking but am open to any other taglines.

    Thanks for your help!

‘Affordable’ is a judgement that your prospects will make. Be proud of what you produce; price them the way you want and you will find your market. ‘Affordable’ all too often means ‘cheap’; it’s not a word I like (although I completely accept that this may be a cultural difference between me as a Brit and you guys in the US).

‘Personal touch’ will be self-evident from what you say about the products in any and all the marketing material you produce; the name itself reeks of ‘personal’ – you don’t need the tagline to say this.

‘Now that’s a collar’ is a nice line; don’t agonise about all the things it doesn’t make explicit – in my view, people will get all that stuff anyway. Let the tagline breathe promise and make it connect with your audience’s deepest desires. Whether you choose quark’s, mine, or somebody else’s tagline, use that measure as your touchstone and you won’t go far wrong.

    I agree – ditch ‘affordable’

Thank you very much for explaining all of this, Chris. I don’t have any experience in taglines or names and I feel that I’ve learned a lot since finding this forum.

When I read this sentence I knew that was exactly the way I wanted my tagline to make people feel.
” Let the tagline breathe promise and make it connect with your audience’s deepest desires.”

I would be ok with any of the taglines but I would love to find one that does exactly what Chris’s sentence says.

Thank you both so much for the help & the education. :)
