Product Names

You’ve worked long hours and spend a lot of money developing a killer product — make sure you give it a name that will propel it out in the world, not let it get pushed to the back of the shelf. Post requests for product names as new topics in Forum for this group.

I need help naming a frozen pizza product that I have. The Pizza is St. Louis Missouri style Pizza. St. Louis Style pizza has a unique crispy thin crust and creamy cheese made from a processed blend of swiss, white cheddar, and provolone. So far I’ve come up with STL Pizza, Antonio’s Pizza name after my late brother who loved St. Louis Style Pizza.

    Please any suggestions will help!

    Thank,
    Donald

This is a tough one, because it seems the primary differentiator from other frozen, or non-frozen, pizza is that it is “Saint Louis Style”, and all that that implies based on the story you will tell about it. Therefore the name will probably have to have something to do with “St. Louis Style”, because an “Antonio’s Pizza” product in a supermarket freezer could be any kind of pizza.

You can use this to your advantage: since “St. Louis” isn’t the first thing to pop into anyone’s mind when they think “Pizza!”, using some form of “St. Louis (style) Pizza” immediately differentiates your product from all the Tony’s, Antonio’s, Domino’s, etc. pizzas already out there.

Thanks Snark and I love your suggestions. Man those suggestions rock! St. Louis is style pizza is known for crispy thin crust pizza and it has a unique cheese blend called Provel. Its made up of Provolone, Swiss, and White Cheddar. The Process Cheese is made into a block and only made for St. Louis style pizza. You currently can not find Provel cheese any where in the World period. We do not use mozzarella cheese at all giving this pizza a very unique and different taste. Once I get things rolling and a final name selected I will send you some. Thanks again for your suggestions.

What about “Antonio’s St. Louis Style Pizza” if you want to incorporate your brother’s name. You could have Antonio’s in large font with St. Louis Style Pizza underneath in smaller letters.
