This website will be a layman’s resource site for parents whose child has recently been diagnosed with a hearing loss. Parents have approached me with a variety of questions they cannot find answered on-line, or cannot find written in easy-to-understand language. It will address definitions of terms used by audiologists, explanations of the different kinds of hearing losses, the impact a child’s hearing loss has on their family, how language and education are effected and tips that will make life a little easier on the families. It will be as comprehensive and unbiased as I can possibly make it.
