Hi. I’m in the process of creating a game for the iPhone. It involves Minke Whales and 50% of profits are being donated to conservation group Sea Shepherd. We’re really struggling with the name. The game is side view, set in Antarctica and involves guiding the whale, eating, surfacing for air and avoiding whalers. It’s quite atmospheric and has a very stylized painted canvas feel.

We’re looking for a name that appeals to both gamers and conservationists. It would be good to come up with something that’s intriguing and memorable. Furthermore, the ability to create a series of animal based games utilizing the fundamentals of the name would be desirable (Orangutans, Sea Lions etc).

I would offer some of the names I’ve come up with, but they’re not crash hot and I don’t want to jeopardize this creative forum. Thank you so much for any idea’s.

Dunk-a-Minke – if you plan the minkes to go under water?
Maybe that sounds more of a “blow-things-up” name? It sounds like you are going for something that is positive interaction, not death and destruction.

Minke-dinka-doo – a play on that old Jimmy Durante tune.
