Company Names

Public Group active 7 hours, 46 minutes ago

The name of your company should make a sudden impact, be memorable, and create buzz. If not, prepare to be eaten alive by the other companies that know how to brand themselves.

Post requests for company names as new topics in the Forum for this group.

Your honest opinions please! (4 posts)

I recently posted here to find a new name for a company I want to start. I will be importing and distributing orthopaedic braces (orthoses).

Sadly, there were many excellent sugestions, my favourites being Orthos and Metamorthosis, but both have been used (although not necessarily relevant) by other people.

My own suggestion is CymOrtho. Living in Wales, it has relevance as the Welsh for ‘support’ is ‘cymorth’, although I recognise that it’s subtlety will be lost on non-Welsh speakers (of which I am one!)

However, a few people have said that it is quite catchy so I just wanted to sound out general opinion to see if it was worth a go.

I intend to point out the relevance in advertising material, so eventually customers will get it!

    Many thanks

Methinks you need to sound out potential customers in the UK who will be your market.

We may be able to help out with the creative side, but the market research is probably in your bailliwick.

    Cymortho
…love the meaning after having it explained, but tough to love this one otherwise; imo.

Your honesty is appreciated…. I’m still open to suggestions as nothing is set in stone yet.
