I am starting an IT business with my partner, and we are looking for a name. The name should be serious, but also unique enough that it will be remembered. We want to attract serious businesses and large firms, and we have high hopes that our company will make it big. Therefore we are looking for a name that we can build a brand around, and keep through time.
Our firm is serious and thorough and the name should convey that.
We are mainly concerned with software applications and perhaps some website management while we are starting out.

It would be a great if you guys could help us. We have been reading on the board and found lots of great names, so we now you got it in you, we just have not found the one name we found soothing for our company.

I think that ITerations is genius. I am meeting with my business partner on friday and i’ll suggest it then.
Just in case he does not go for it, does anyone else have any suggestions? (do you possibly have any more Quipping Queen?) Anyway thank you for the response Quipping Queen, I have high hopes that that might become the name.

I really like the name ITerations however I did have to look it up in a dictionary to understand the meaning. At first galnce I didnt have a clue what it meant.

Will your target customer understand the meaning at first glance?
It does have a beautiful definition to it.

If one is in the software development and applications field, the term “iterations” would appear to make sense.

On the other hand, the name sparked enough curiosity that “Sean” even went so far as to peek in a dictionary!
