I really love what you guys are doing here and look forward to becoming a contributing member of this forum. That being said, I need help coming up with a name for my textbook company. What we do is go to different colleges and universities and BUY textbooks from students. We have student representatives as well as sales people. We then resell the books on our website.

I am looking for a name that is descriptive, memorable, and easy to spell. Be creative! I look forward to seeing what you guys have in mind.

NOTE: “descriptive” does not equal “memorable” — that’s an empty set.

I am not sure how you could incorporate something descriptive with something memorable. You are probably looking for something that is novel and gives a good idea as to what you want.

I am loving text cycle among the choices here and pageturner as well. I think that for textbook companies, you can make do with going simple as you would want to give a serious impression rather than creative just to uphold credibility.

I agree completely. We are not looking for something cute or necessarily unique, but memorable. I guess that I want the best of both worlds, memorable as well as being able to know who we are and what we do just from seeing our name.

Our customers (students) turn over really fast as they are only customers for a few years, so a name that describes the business is more key to us. I like the name text cycle, but perhaps I am over thinking this that when people think of recycling, they associate that with things that have no value.

I guess having a geographic association is fine in the name, as we are centered on the east coast of the US.
