Company Names

Public Group active 20 hours, 6 minutes ago

The name of your company should make a sudden impact, be memorable, and create buzz. If not, prepare to be eaten alive by the other companies that know how to brand themselves.

Post requests for company names as new topics in the Forum for this group.

We need some help with the name search for our new business. We are a movie advertising company.

These are names and directions we have toyed with:

Blink (visual arts, every image is important…)
    Sparks (too obvious?)
Upstream (the beginning of something great, against the current, Salmon anyone?)
Bolt (power? not sure what else)
    Beam (construction and spotlight?)
Catalyst (a little too technical maybe)
Snowball (we get the ball rolling…)

You guys here are a great creative and inspiring community! Any input and advice will help a great deal. Thank you so much advance.

Thanks for your interesting suggestions, Rogere. Maybe there is something in “Tease” – but Strip and Script it can’t be.
The more I think about the whole “stream” thing, the more it sounds like a technology company that is involved in some kind of “streaming service” – unless we can find another way to say “against the current”.
Anything with “motion” in it is too close to the competition (even though E-Motion sounds cute) and playing with the word “trail” (from “trailer”) sends too narrow a message, I think.
