Company Names

Public Group active 30 minutes ago

The name of your company should make a sudden impact, be memorable, and create buzz. If not, prepare to be eaten alive by the other companies that know how to brand themselves.

Post requests for company names as new topics in the Forum for this group.

greetings to all. looking for a microbrewery/brewpub company name. we are two RNs wanting out! we both homebrew beer and would like to first distribute beer locally and then open up a restaurant with microbrewed beer AKA brewpub. having trouble coming up with names we agree on. I like Downstate Brewing Co. since we are in “downstate” Illinois. after discussing it we decided it didn’t have the punch we are looking for. Tossed around Clandestine Brewers, Pulse Brewing, Gonzo Brewers, Knox County Beer Works and the list goes on. Any advise or suggestions would be much appreciated. We are located in West Central Illinois, in a smaller town called Galesburg, in Knox County. We have a lot of agriculture around us and a lot of trains. We are the future home of the National Railroad Hall of Fame Museum. We want to start off with a tavern with microbrewed beer and then get some seed money for getting investors and starting restaurant. We want to start off small and have casual atmosphere with a campy and uniqueness about it.
    PLEASE HELP!! Thanks

    Registered Nurse
    Registered Nurse Brewery
    Registered Nurse Brewing Company

…it has nothing to do with trains, etc., but it has a story behind it, it’s sexy (or cute…as far in either direction you want to go) and should be easily brandable.

    Honest Abe
    Prairie Dawg
    Nurse
(In agreement with Snark “Nursing a Beer” but maybe just the word “Nurse” which I believe would mean to others “how to drink our beer/microbrew”… which in turn could become something like “Nursing Our Quality Microbrew”. This idea could then be worked into a marketing/advertising campaign for same).
