Pete Rose --- The Cooperstown Con

In a game ruled by substance abuse, exploitation and greed on all sides, Pete Rose was held up---hypocritically---as an example. Martyred by the condemnation of his peers, he became an ironic subject of grass-roots fan support. Thankfully, baseball has awakened to its own stupidity, and allowed this man his proper place in the hall. Only then can the public see him without his martyr's halo, and appreciate what an undeserving prick he truly is.

Inducted posthumously into the Baseball Hall of Fame for his athletic record.

Barred for life from baseball for breaking the rules against gambling, including betting on games and teams in which he was involved.

So let me get this straight. You can do drugs, become an alcholic, sleep with every woman in every town,be a total sh*thead towards the fans,constantle hold out for millions more $$$$$ while the rest of the country is barely making ends meet and be inducted in the HOL. But nooooooooo, Pete can't place a bet here and there without being banned !!! Thankd GOD I'm a NASCAR fan. Atleast it is a sport that doesn't strike for more money, punishes it's athelets fairly and consistantly, it's atheletes are fan friendly. I grew up watching Pete and still believe him to be one of the best that this so called sport ever had.Goooooooo Pete and Goooooooo NASCAR. Who cares about baseball anyway. They're all money greedy dope addicts anyway.

he's right....NASCAR is definitely not a sport. Baseball IS a sport and an awesome sport at that. But you're right its players are very greedy...just like every single other sport in the world, so shut up.

But yeah, Rose in Hall not in a Dugout!!! and his plaque should say "Pete Rose: One of the best to ever play the game."
