VIIV is not a product, but a lineup of products. Looks like it's going to be another good year for names built upon Latin roots, particularly if you're looking to tap into that lucrative XVIII to XXXV market.
With the coming launch of new brands such as Intel Viiv technology, Intel feels that the new branding system simplifies and unifies the look and feel across their products and platforms in an effort to better communicate important characteristics and value to consumers. The system includes new logos for Intel Viiv technology and Intel Centrino mobile technology, and re-designed logos for individual processors, chipsets, motherboards and other Intel technologies. Each product logo also incorporates the new Intel logo.
Those of you who don't speak Latin are probably wondering how VIIV is pronounced.
VIIV, pronounced jive, should be spelled Vive but isn’t, because to spell anything in a way people might find easy to pronounce goes against the millions of marketing Think Tank dollars that went into coming up with a misspelling in the first place.
Intel's new logo also includes a new tagline: Intel. Leap ahead.
